This position will support all of the Primary Care Clinics. Travel to clinics will be expected.

The Clinical Support person is a customer and patient service oriented team player who is responsible for supporting the clinics by providing a variety of services for preparing and maintaining patient records, preparing patients for physician, other provider or nurse, interacting maintaining optimal patient flow and assists with patient care as directed. The ever-changing healthcare environment has expanded our search to include individuals with current CMA, MA, CNA, EMT, or LPN certification for this role. We identify the experience that each individual can bring to our clinic setting.

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required plus additional vocational/specialized healthcare training required.

Other Education: Completion of Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) program, Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) program, Medical Assistant program, or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) program

Certification/Licensure:

Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Must be able to provide a statement verifying a minimum of 24 months experience in the last 36 months under the supervision of a licensed health care provider. Completion of ABR within 3 months of hire. OR

Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) Must be able to provide a statement verifying a minimum of 24 months experience in the last 36 months under the supervision of a licensed health care provider. Completion of ABR within 3 months of hire. OR

Medical Assistant, Registered Must be able to provide a statement verifying a minimum of 24 months experience in the last 36 months under the supervision of a licensed health care provider. Completion of ABR within 3 months of hire is required. OR

Certified Medical Assistant - completion of a Certified Medical Assistant program required, certified by the AAMA within 6 months of hire. OR

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Completion of a nursing program, licensed as an LPN in Wisconsin at time of hire or within 6 months of hire.

CPR required

CNA's and EMT's who are hired into this position will be required to complete medication competency training and pass appropriate testing within 90 days of hire in order to work in the job.

The Clinical Systems Analyst acts as a liaison between clinical departments and IS for software issues. This position provides the knowledge and skills to meet physician, patient, staff, and/or hospital/clinics needs and performs in accordance with WRMC standards and policies. The Clinical Systems Analyst is a highly trained individual who must solve problems under critical time constraints and operates under minimal supervision. Identifies opportunities for business process improvements using information technologies. Essential Function * Responds to customer requirements in a friendly, prompt and caring manner, always maintaining the highest level of confidentiality and respect. * Works as a partner with team members, and demonstrates willingness to do whatever needs to be done to meet the needs of internal and external customers and the department. * Communicates clearly and effectively with external and internal customers. * Carries out safety and infection control procedures to insure patient, staff and visitor safety. * Coordinates the planning of patient care systems for inpatient, outpatient and/or clinical areas, verifying screen layouts, assisting in defining clinical data bases, and assisting in defining security procedures. Also assists with testing of interfaces between various clinical systems. * Coordinates the implementation of patient care systems including developing and presenting education and training to all clinical staff, orienting new clinical personnel to systems, developing and maintaining user manuals. * Acts as a liaison between clinical departments and IS for software issues including troubleshooting software issues and handling software problems. * Coordinates the education of staff for computer systems, as needed. * Keeps abreast of all hospital, clinic and nursing policies and regulations. * Develops and maintains communication and social skills and safeguards the confidentiality of all patients at all times. * Maintains professional growth and development through seminars, workshops and professional affiliations to keep abreast of latest trends in fields of expertise. Performs quality assurance activities by monitoring the quality of systems performance in accordance with hospital QA standards. * Serves as liaison with the Medical Staff, IS and other hospital departments regarding all computer systems affecting patient care. * Reports and monitors software issues reported to the hospital information system vendors. Tests and approves software fixes prior to being moved into the production environment. * Works with clinical departments to identify report writing needs and helps identify data fields needed in the reports. Builds and compiles clinical reports within the hospital information system. * Assists clinical departments in meeting quality measures by imbedding the quality measures and clinical decision support rules within information systems in a meaningful way for providers, nurses and clinical support staff. * Reviews best practice documentation provided by information system vendors and guides clinical areas in the implementation of these best practices. * Reviews Meaningful Use Specifications and works with clinical staff to incorporate meaningful use objectives into clinical workflows. Documents meaningful use workflows to meet Meaningful Use Audit requirements. * Associates' Degree in Nursing, Health care or Information Systems * Bachelor's degree preferred * Three years' experience in a health care setting or health care informatics setting.
