Kids Above All is seeking a Clinical Supervisor for our Waukegan office!

Job Summary: Under supervision of Program Director, this position will provide training/coaching, support and supervision for the Counseling Solutions staff. The Counseling Solutions Supervisor may also provide clinical services/support for clients from other Kids Above All Programs as needed: Foster Care and others by agreement.

Essential Functions:

  • Supervise, support, and provide backup to assigned Counseling Solutions staff in their work with children, families, Juvenile Court, DCFS, and other collateral agencies and individuals.

  • Plan and schedule weekly support/team meetings for staff.

  • Facilitate Monthly individual supervision to staff: provide directives, guidance, coaching, and delegate responsibilities

  • Provide Weekly Group Supervision for interns

  • Collaborate with the Training Director in the development and delivery of the training curriculum.

  • Collaborate with Managers and Directors from various internal Programs to include clinical topics in their meetings.

  • May carry a limited caseload of 5-7 as needed.

  • Complete necessary record keeping activities as required for case files, for court papers and collaborators when necessary.

  • Supervise Psychiatric and other Clinical Sub-Contractors serving Counseling Solutions eligible clients (including interns)

  • Oversee and Approve referrals of new clients into the program

  • Facilitate/Participate in clinical staffing schedules

  • Coach clinical staff through treatment planning

  • Collaborate with staff on annual performance evaluations. Implement Performance Improvement Plans as needed

  • Maintain job-specific/core competencies (i.e. required trainings, certificates, licensures, CEUs, etc)

  • Participate in ongoing training, and meet all Agency/Funding/Accrediting requirements.

  • Actively participate in Continuous Quality Improvement initiatives and activities.

  • Approve bi-weekly hours for payroll; assure hours are accurately documented

  • Other duties as assigned to fulfill the mission of the Department and the Agency.

Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Social Work; counseling or or similar degree from an accredited university and clinical license.

  • Five (5) years' experience, preferably with a similar client population and at least 1-2 years recent experience in supervisory role.

  • LCSW or LCPC required.

  • Knowledge of trauma informed model and bereavement therapeutic model preferred.

  • Ability to coordinate work procedures, assigned duties, and provides written and verbal instructions

  • Experience with Medicaid billing/procedures required.

  • Must demonstrate independent and sound decision-making and judgment always maintaining what is in the best interest of Kids Above All.
