JOB TITLE: Clinical Supervisor & Therapist, Counseling Services
Office Profile: The Division of Student Affairs has the responsibility of overall supervision of student life, student services and student support and includes residential education, wellness, academic advising, career services, student leadership, recreational programs and all activities related to student enrollment and retention. The Wellness Center is dedicated to providing high quality medical and psychological care to our students in a confidential and safe setting. The staff is committed to the overall wellness of students.
ROLE: The full-time, 10-month, non-exempt Clinical Supervisor & Therapist for Counseling Services position is responsible for supervision of Counseling Services staff, trainees and interns. This position assists in promoting the development and maintenance of psychological counseling services which contribute to the academic success of our campus student community. This role will also assist with the administrative functions of the counseling services offered to Concordia students, including maintenance and development of wellness resources, training, and support of counseling staff.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each of the below essential duties satisfactorily:
Clinical & General Duties
Provides direct counseling service hours to Concordia University Irvine students, using individual and group modalities
Responds to mental health crisis
Makes appropriate counseling referrals to on- and off-campus resources
Completes appropriate tracking and documentation of counseling work
Works in a collaborative manner with Health Services staff
Maintains procedures and protocols that are in compliance with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences
Supervision
Supervises MSW, MFT, and PCC interns and trainees, per professional board requirements
Develops supervision and evaluation skills
Reviews and signs off on notes for trainees and interns
Recruits counseling interns and trainees
Administration, Management & General Duties
Completes appropriate tracking and documentation of counseling work
Develops and maintains counseling services
Refinement of data collection and documentation of counseling work
Develops and maintains appropriate procedures and protocols for provision of psychological care services
Demonstrates knowledge of the current risks faced by Counseling Services in higher education
Ensures appropriate scheduling of Counseling Services interns and trainees
Attends Wellness Center staff meetings & other meetings, as requested
Participates in university sponsored events, as needed
Ongoing maintenance/development of relationships with other campus leaders/faculty in other areas that assist in bridging students to counseling services
Provides educational programming to CUI stakeholders
Promotes counseling services to the campus community
Other duties, as assigned
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Master's degree in counseling or related field; one to two years of related experience in a college/university counseling center; or an equivalent combination of experience and education is preferred.
LICENSURE AND CERTIFICATION:
Active license in California Board of Behavioral Sciences in one of the following
Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (LMFT)
Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC)
Licensed Clinical Psychologist
Current supervision training
