JOB TITLE Clinical Supervisor (Licensed)

Operating hours Monday - Friday 5:30am-2:30pm.

Optional Saturday, rotating, half-day.

Shift differential/ stipend pay

SUMMARY:

Responsible for direct clinical supervision of licensed and non-licensed clinicians at various sites to include Opioid Treatment Program (OTP).

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Education: Master's degree in behavioral health related area required.

Licensure: Must possess the highest level of licensure appropriate to degree.

Certification: Must possess the highest level of certification appropriate to degree.

Experience: Experience in clinical practice and supervision preferred.

Knowledge/Skills: Ability to maintain composure in difficult situations.

Verbal/written communication skills.

EQUIPMENT:

Computer, fax, copier and any other equipment required to perform the functions of the position.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1.Trains, disciplines and evaluates performance of employees.

2.Recommends pay adjustments for employees.

3.Organizes and schedules employee work activities.

4.Maintains a safe work environment by identifying and correcting potentially unsafe conditions and work practices.

5.Maintains a positive working climate within and across departmental functions.

6.Assist clinicians concerning clinical procedures and evaluation.

7.Ensures the provision of Evidence Based Practices (EBP) within the treatment setting.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1.Provide leadership and direct supervision of the assigned clinical staff, monitoring intake

assessments, development of treatment plans, and use of therapeutic interventions.

2.May provide direct services to individuals and families.

3.Responds calmly and appropriately in crisis situations, implementing effective therapeutic interventions and strategies.

4.Remains current in knowledge of community agencies and resources, both internally and externally, and how to access resources in order to provide information, referrals, and a seamless separation of care of individuals served by the program.

5.Provides clinical training and in-service on pertinent clinical issues as determined by the needs and interests of clinical staff.

6.Provides consultation to clinical staff on issues pertaining to the assessment and treatment of child sexual abuse.

7.Provides assistance to assigned clinical staff in their pursuit of licensure; maintains accurate

records and documentation of clinical supervision provided to all assigned clinical staff.

8.Keeps Division Directors apprised of both potential problem areas and outstanding clinical performance.

9.In cooperation with the Division Director, provides initial and ongoing departmental orientation to new employees and conducts performance reviews on employees supervised.



  1. Attend and participate in regularly scheduled staff meetings and in-services and individual program planning staffings as needed.

  2. All other duties as assigned.
