Clinical Supervisor - Halls Family Physicians

Responsibilities

Halls Family Physicians, a division of Summit Medical Group, is seeking a Clinical Supervisor to join their practice. The successful candidate will have strong clinical knowledge and some practice management experience. The Site Manager will run the practice in accordance with the policies and procedures set forth by Summit Medical Group. This is a Full time opportunity.

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) Required.

Responsibilities: (List does not include all duties assigned)

• Supervises and provides leadership in clinical and diagnostic areas. This includes employee evaluations, scheduling, conflict resolution, etc.

• Develops improved methods for task performance.

• Adheres to, and monitors site-level compliance of, OSHA and other federal and state requirements as it relates to clinical issues.

• Orders appropriate medical and drug supplies utilizing effective buying skills.

• Assures clinical assistant coverage, effectively plans for varying needs.

• Performs skilled clinical assistance when needed; preparing patients and assisting physicians during examinations and procedures.

• Supports Site Manager with proactive and meaningful information and assistance, especially as it relates to clinical functions.

• Responds effectively to patient requests, including returning patient phone calls.

• Provides meaningful training to staff and monitors their understanding and implementation of training.

• Maintains work area in neat and orderly manner.

• Attends meetings as required.

• Maintains strictest confidentiality both internally and externally.

• Adheres to all aspects of the corporate compliance plan.

• Actively participates in site-level Quality Improvement Activities. Each employee will contribute to the continual evaluation site performance as well as the implementation and measurement of improvement activities that increase the quality of care provided to patients.

Qualifications

Education: High School Diploma required.

Certification: Current TN license in Practical Nursing or Nationally Certified in Medical Assisting REQUIRED.

Experience: At least 2 years of experience in clinical nursing and/or medical assisting, preferably in an office setting. Some practice management experience is preferable but not required
