Shift Details: Full-time

  • 40 hours/week

Compensation: $74,000 - $76,000 annually

Locations: Hybrid with telehealth service delivery

  • Twin Cities and 2 days/week at MN Academy for Deaf in Faribault

About the job: Provide program management and oversight to programs operated within the Behavioral Health Division. Clinically supervise and manage employees in the assigned program. Serve as a liaison between the assigned program and other programs within the Behavioral Health Division and VOA-MN/WI. May provide direct clinical services to clients in the assigned program.

Essentials:

Clinical Supervision of Providers and Interns

  • Provide clinical supervision through in-person and/or face-to-face teleconferencing to assigned staff on a regular basis to meet regulatory requirements.

  • Provide clinical supervision to all participants of regularly scheduled consultation meetings as required by regulatory agencies.

  • Document all supervisory activities in the Provider's or Intern's employee file.

  • Document the supervision of each client served by providers identified as Clinical Trainees at least every 60 days.

  • Document the supervision of each youth served by Care Coordinators at least every 90 days.

  • Manage case/referral assignment and assist employees in the management of caseload size.

  • Review and sign off on all assessments, service/treatment plans, reviews, and discharge summaries as required by regulatory agencies, verifying that the documentation and data they input into the electronic health record is of good quality.

Administration

  • Contribute to and supports a positive, team-oriented work environment.

  • Administratively supervise Providers and Interns to carry out job responsibilities.

  • Monitor and manage accountability to billing/billable units for assigned program or team.

  • Monitor assigned components of the budget for assigned program or team.

  • Implement the policies, procedures, and practices established for Volunteers of America Behavioral Health Division for the staff under their supervision and assure staff comply with VOA and regulatory agencies' standards.

  • Maintain a work environment which respects and supports cultural responsivity, upholds VOA's values, and promotes staff engagement and healthy morale.

  • Recruit, train, supervise, and develop staff to achieve established program objectives including providing quality services in a work environment reflecting teamwork and mutual respect.

  • Maintain up to date personnel files for supervisees.

  • Provide performance management of supervisees including, but not limited to, their conduct, task completion, policy/procedure compliance, professional behavior, attendance, and general performance.

  • Conduct annual performance reviews of all staff, including assessment of past year's accomplishments corresponding to objectives set in previous reviews, coming year objectives corresponding to current program goals, and professional development objectives.

Program Planning

  • Assist the Associate Division Director and division leaders with program development and implementation.

  • Maintain responsibility for the completion and submission of routine reporting requirements per regulatory agency expectations.

Community Relationships

  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with the State, the County, community providers, and other external stakeholders in the area of the individual's program and Behavioral Health.

Required Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in one of the Behavioral Sciences, including social work, psychology, clinical counseling, or marriage and family therapy.

  • Currently licensed as a Mental Health Professional with the MN Board relative to individual's degree.

  • Ability to be credentialed by MHCP and other third-party payers.

  • Minimum of 3 years of service delivery experience.
