Clinical Staffing Coordinator
Full-time / Day Shift (7:30am
UM Charles Regional
SUMMARY:
Under limited supervision, plans, organizes and provides nursing office management duties i.e., staffing, scheduling, maintenance of files, supply inventory and ordering, and nursing office daily operations. Also responsible for the coordination of activities to enhance patient placement and flow. Uses effective clinical, communication, and interpersonal skills to collaborate with key persons and departments to facilitate and maximize patient flow.

Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or equivalent required. A minimum of two years administrative or office management experience required.
CONDITIONS:
The employee will remain within this job category for a probationary period of six months. With a satisfactory criteria-based performance evaluation, the employee will advance to a regular status employee. If the evaluation is not satisfactory, the employee will be terminated.
SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Demonstrated knowledge various of computer software including but not limited to Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Demonstrated ability to initiate and complete multiple projects without close supervision
Demonstrated organizational skills
Demonstrated ability to type 40 words per minute
The ability to ensure the confidentiality and rights of all patient, health system and departmental documents is required
Demonstrates utilization of customer service skills.
Demonstrates ability to communicate and coordinate patient flow throughout the hospital to include direct admissions, ED admissions and transfers.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: The ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in written form with patients, physicians, health system officials, other health system personnel and the general public is essential.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: The ability to perform basic mathematical functions.
