Keystone Human Services is currently seeking a Clinical Specialist (Program Specialist to join our team of professionals in making a positive difference in the lives of our neighbors and the community.

The Work:

  • Create a healthy, engaging, typical home for people with intellectual disabilities

  • Coordinate and complete Social Emotional Environmental Needs assessments for individuals

  • Develop and implement Individual Support Plans and Behavior Support Plans and any plans containing restrictions

  • Support team members in addressing behavioral and other clinical concerns

  • Work with team to implement person-centered effective programs for each individual

  • Coordinate teaching and skill development for individuals and team members

  • Complete application and monitor benefits for individuals (ex: SNAP, Waiver, Supplemental Habilitation)

  • Ensure compliance with 6400 regulations

  • Support individuals to become independent, make decisions, and live a meaningful dignified life with valued social roles (ex: friend, neighbor, student, employee)

Minimum Educational Requirements:(One of the following)

  • Bachelor's degree and two years of experience working directly with persons with intellectual disabilities or autism

  • Master's degree or higher in psychology, special education, counseling, social work, education, applied behavior analysis or gerontology and one year of experience working directly with persons with intellectual disabilities or autism

  • Pennsylvania Behavior Specialist License

Additional Minimum Requirements:

  • At least 18 years of age

  • Basic computer skills with the ability to utilize internal software programs

  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written

  • Successful completion of required trainings within specified timeframes, including First Aid and CPR certifications and others mandated by regulations

  • Valid Driver's License with daily access to a privately maintained and insured vehicle

  • Successful completion of the pre-employment process, including motor vehicle record and criminal background checks

Position Type: Full Time Program: Valley Creek Crisis system (VCCC) Role Description: The Crisis Specialist will provide telephone crisis counseling, crisis walk-ins and mobile crisis outreach. Holcomb's crisis service emphasizes recovery principles and maintains hospital diversion as a primary goal. Program Description: Valley Creek Crisis Center offers a comprehensive crisis program to all members of the Chester County community who may be experiencing varying levels of crisis. Valley Creek Crisis Center operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week from our office-based location offering walk-in, mobile outreach and telephone services that are person-centered and culturally competent. Valley Creek strongly emphasizes diversionary efforts to maintain individuals in a community setting whenever possible. The crisis center staff utilize a team approach and invite you to join our recovery-oriented, culturally diverse staff! Responsibilities and duties include but are not limited to: * Conduct effective crisis assessments, triage and stabilization. * Provide clinical level-of-care evaluations. * Conduct telephone crisis counseling to determine appropriate interventions. * Participate in mobile outreach in a variety of community settings. * Conduct appropriate aftercare follow-up contacts. * Collaborate with community partners. * Provide service referrals and linkage as clinically appropriate. * Maintain quality documentation of clinical service delivery. * Provide timely supporting documentation for all clinical services provided. Minimum Education: Master's Degree in clinical or counseling psychology, clinical social work, addictions or Bachelor's Degree and 5 years' mental health experience. All degree(s) must be from a regionally accredited institution of higher learning. Minimum Experience: Two years of experience (w/ Master's Degree) in a behavioral health setting. Experience with crisis assessment, triage, intervention and community resources/systems preferred. Required Clearances: Child Abuse clearance, Criminal clearance, and fingerprint based federal criminal history; Verification that employee is not on any Medicaid/Medicare Exclusion list. * Interested persons should complete an online application. * Resume REQUIRED.
