As a Best of State "Special Education" award winner five years in a row, Kids On The Move (KOTM) provides services throughout Utah to children with special needs and their families. Our non-profit mission is to support the development of young children through five key programs: Early Intervention, Early Head Start, the Autism Center, Respite Care, and Family Mental Health.

We are seeking a Clinical Social Worker (CSW) to be responsible for delivering quality mental health therapy with children, teens, adults, and families across our agency's programs. The CSW assists clients with a variety of mental health concerns including anxiety, depression, trauma, disability, and coping with complex health care needs.

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities

  • Demonstrated ability to create and maintain strong therapeutic relationships.

  • Treatment skills appropriate to the population served.

  • Ability to navigate EHR.

  • Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team, problem solve, and resolve conflicts for individuals, couples and groups.

  • Ability to identify and arrange community resources specific to individual clients.

  • Demonstrated knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the clients served.

  • Knowledge of and experience with working with children and teens with mental health conditions.

Qualifications

Licenses Required

  • Current license to practice as a Certified Social Worker (CSW) in the State of Utah.
  • CPR card through American Heart Association or obtain within one month of hire

Preference will also be given to candidates who are bilingual English/Spanish, but this is not a requirement.

Strong preference for candidates with experience in play therapy and TFCBT.

The successful candidate will work with clients ranging in age from 1 - 18 with an average caseload of 45-50.

Responsibilities

  • Complete mental health evaluations through interviews and psychosocial assessments.

  • Providing accurate and timely diagnoses.

  • Develop treatment plans and treatment goals in conjunction with the licensed treatment team.

  • Engages in evidence based mental health treatment to provide emotional and behavioral support.

  • Identifies needs and provides collaborative, linking, referring, and monitoring services to connect families with community resources.
