Clinical Social Worker 3

The Position

Clinical Social Workers provide clinical services to clients/inmates in a residential, home, inpatient, outpatient, rehabilitation, correctional or similar setting.

Clinical Social Worker 3's function as first-line supervisors who train, supervise and evaluate the performance of assigned staff; assign and review work; and initiate disciplinary action OR function as managers who train, supervise and evaluate the performance of subordinate supervisors; develop policies and procedures; and allocate staff and resources to accomplish goals and objectives according to the needs of the hiring agency.

This Clinical Social Worker III position will serve as the Director of Social Services for Dini-Townsend hospital at Northern Nevada Adult Mental Health Services. Dini-Townsend is a 30 bed acute psychiatric hospital for individuals with Severe Mental Illness (SMI). This position will supervise the other inpatient Clinical Social Workers as they provide clinical services to client in an inpatient setting.

This position is responsible to work with the Medical Director and the Director of Nursing (DON) to ensure that any concerns about patient care are being addressed. The position provides reports and data in several meetings related to leadership and quality assurance/improvement. This position requires great communication skills and the ability to work with a variety of other staff across disciplines both in inpatient and in outpatient services.
