Clinical Site Instructor - Diagnostic Imaging

The Clinical Site Instructor functions as the coordinator of student education, a staff development resource, and mentor. This position supports collaboration between the academic and practice settings, serving as a liaison between the academic institution, faculty and program students (1st year and 2nd year).# The Clinical Site Instructor is responsible for the organization, administration and general effectiveness of the clinical education program. Minimum Education Bachelor#s degree required. Minimum Work Experience 5 Years clinical experience in a hospital setting Previous educational instructor experience preferred. Knowledge of state and federal health safety laws and JCAHO Standards. Knowledge of basic medical equipment (i.e. O2 Tank, pulse oximeter, EKG machines, etc.). Knowledge of quality assurance principles and supervisory principles. Ability to respond calmly and effectively in a crises situation and have the ability to handle stress. Portable and in department fluoroscopy procedures Operating Room procedures Required Licenses/Certifications Current Vermont R.T. license required. BLS Certification through American Heart Association. Must obtain 24 ECE credits, in a two-year period, for re-certification and licensure. ARRT Certification requires RT(R) Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities Strong knowledge and skills related to clinical radiology practice. Knowledge of adult education principles Demonstrated leadership skills and a commitment to education as a methodology for promoting continuous quality improvement in the delivery of patient care and service Effective and timely and written communicates skills. Effective listening and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated ability to provide clear and concise written documentation. Demonstrates strong knowledge of basic computer skills. Minimum Education

• Bachelor's degree required.
