Your experience, knowledge and great skills will support the Crisis Supervisor with the following:

  • Ensuring the team objective are met by distributing workload in an effective manner.

  • Identifying the unique signs and symptoms of mental health and substance abuse in relation to children and adolescents for diagnostic accuracy.

  • Determining and implementing an appropriate treatment/referral response using the least restrictive alternatives.

  • Utilizing the recovery-oriented model, through the use of the multi-modal therapies during interventions with children, adolescents and families.

  • Ensures effective communication and time management of their team

  • Providing individual and group supervision.

  • Hiring and training new staff

  • Being a liaison between the crisis team and other providers

BHN's Crisis Program provides 24/7 front line response to individuals of all ages who are experiencing a behavioral health crisis, regardless of insurance. BHN provides services on a mobile basis, including home and community-based settings or in an emergency department when needed.

What are we looking for in a Crisis Supervisor?

  • Master's degree in a mental health/clinical program (Required)

  • License eligible in MA (required) or Licensed-LICSW, LMHC or LCSW (Preferred)

  • 5 years experience in mental health (Required)

  • Knowledge of grief and trauma, specific to children and adolescents

  • Knowledge of serious and persistent mental illness, substance abuse, appropriate interventions and access to community resources.

  • Knowledge and application of the Recovery Oriented model, specific to those experiencing a mental health crisis.

  • Must display empathic skills and the ability to establish rapport with consumers, family members and service providers.

  • Good observation, thorough documentation skills and ability to provide solution focused, strengths based treatment.

  • Must have reliable transportation during each shift to provide community based services.

Become a part of our team of competent and compassionate professionals as the Clinical Supervisor in the Opioid Treatment Program (OTP) at Behavioral Health Network! Clinical Supervisors provide high quality community-based care, encouraging the independence, competency, decision-making, and empowerment of individuals served. Clinical Supervisors provide clinical support and caseload oversight to OTP Clinicians and assist in ensuring that clinical program requirements are met in accordance with state and federal licensing entities. Clinical Supervisors monitor individuals' overall health and well-being in their daily living activities and assist with all aspects of medication treatment and administration. The Opioid Treatment Program (OTP) at Behavioral Health Network is a Medication Assisted Treatment Program to assist individuals with an opioid use disorder and are experiencing the dysfunctional effects of its use to gain and maintain the skills needed to achieve an opiate-free lifestyle and to improve functioning. BHN's Springfield OTP uses medication protocols approved by the Medical Director to ensure patients safely detox from these substances. These protocols are evidenced based and are implemented through assessment and re-assessment practices throughout the process. Behavioral Health Network is a growing non-profit community behavioral health agency that has been providing services to children, adults, families and communities in Western Massachusetts since 1938. BHN provides comprehensive, outcome-driven behavioral health care. We are dedicated to offering high quality, affordable and culturally appropriate care to people of all ages and income levels in our constituent communities. This position offers a $5000 sign-on bonus and a $3000 referral bonus. Clinical Supervisors at Behavioral Health Network have the following qualities: * Independent licensure (LICSW) (required). * LADC I (preferred). * Master's Degree in a related field (clinical psychology, education/counseling, medicine, psychology, psychiatric nursing, rehabilitative counseling, or social work) (required). * At least three years of experience in substance abuse treatment environment (required). * At least one year of supervisory experience providing clinical supervision to interdisciplinary team (required). * Experience working with substance abuse and dual diagnoses (required). * Bilingual in Spanish & English (preferred). * Working knowledge of DPH Bureau of Substance Abuse regulations (required). * Commitment to empowerment and growth, human rights, and community integration for individuals served (required).
