ROLE OVERVIEW and PURPOSE
The Clinical Services Supervisor (CSS) works to support the mission and vision of Neighborhood Healthcare by cultivating an environment that produces excellent patient-centered care and clinical services within a dynamic team setting. This role will ensure smooth workflow for clinical staff by monitoring quality measures and productivity goals. In addition, this role will support staff development by demonstrating and living the company values. This responsibilities and performance expectations for this role fall into three categories: staff management and development, clinical administration, and operations management.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervises medical assistants and lab assistants work shifts to ensure sufficient coverage
Assists with new hire orientation for new hires and ongoing training for clinic team, including completion of a proficiency checklists
Monitors support staff trainings to ensure employees attend required and ongoing trainings to perform their jobs and compliance
Assigns medical assistants to providers and care teams based on continuity of care, skill levels, and workload demands
Works with management to prepare agendas for department and site meetings
Arranges logistics of medical staff meetings, including coordination of drug representative presentations
Prepares and conducts 90-day and annual performance reviews for all direct reports
Works with management and HR to provide timely and objective performance counseling
Coordinates with lab management to ensure lab assistants are completing necessary logs and documentation
Monitors the Electronic Medical Records System to ensure clinical team is documenting care transformation activities (PCMH/MU) daily
Matches new patients to appropriate providers or appropriate service to promote continuity of care
Provides guidance for policies, procedures, and various funding sources to support staff
Assists in developing written policies and procedures for the operational aspect of clinical services
Works with clinical team to provide comprehensive healthcare to patients
Monitors patient satisfaction surveys process to ensure surveys are sent to appropriate entities
Monitors, orders, and maintains inventory systems for clinical supplies and clinical equipment, as needed
Impacts patient experience by demonstrating courteous and helpful behavior and a commitment to accuracy
Shares accountability for overall patient health outcomes by working in coordination with care teams
Operates to instill confidence in our care and in our facilities to patients, fellow employees, and other stakeholders
Supervision
Recommends or make decisions to hire, transfer, reward, discipline or terminate employees
Assesses training needs and promotes developmental activities
Conducts team meetings to promote communication, assess and resolve needs, and foster teamwork, as needed
Evaluates, coaches, and develops team performance by using job requirements and competency assessments
Informs team of organizational activities and promotes mission and goals
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Associate's degree or equivalent experience required
Experience working in healthcare preferred
Supervisory experience preferred
Completion of project Leap preferred (Internals Only)
Bilingual (English/Spanish) or (English/Arabic) preferred by site
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including superior composition, typing and proofreading skills
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
Knowledgeable about and experience with monitoring performance metrics
Ability to function at highest level according to credentials and competency
Ability to successfully manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Excellent planning and organizational ability
Ability to work as part of a team as well as independently
Ability to work with highly confidential information in a professional and ethical manner
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift/carry 10 lbs/weight
Ability to stand for long periods of time

Pay range: $64,273.21 - $78,556.14 annually depending on experience. Exempt position.
