Clinical Services Director El Paso and New Mexico

(Regional Nurse Consultant)

Fundamental Clinical & Operational Services, LLC, is seeking a talented Clinical Services Director (Regional Nurse Consultant) to provide consultation and support to a number of client skilled nursing facilities in the El Paso Area - this position will work with our client skilled nursing centers in El Paso and New Mexico. Use your long term care expertise to consult/train/troubleshoot!

Responsibilities:

Responsible for assisting assigned facilities to comply with appropriate state, federal guidelines/regulations, in accordance with established company policies and procedures. Works with all facility departments to assist in planning, implementing and evaluating patient/resident centered programming. Assists facilities with the interpretation and implementation of policies and procedures.

Qualifications

  • Ideal candidate must be a skilled communicator, director and motivator. Able to organize and prioritize many tasks effectively.

  • Five years of experience as a Director of Nursing in a long term care environment

Previous Nurse Consultant experience highly preferred.

  • Able to react to emergency situations appropriately when required.

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (RN) , BSN preferred with a valid TX RN license.

Must be able to travel extensively by air and personal automobile. Facilities located in El Paso area or New Mexico - some overnight travel will be required.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS * Secure new clinical sites and contractual agreements. Coordinate the tracking and verification of all program clinical affiliation contracts. Ensure contracts with clinical sites are current, accurate, viable and adequate in meeting program needs. * Conduct orientation for students to each clinical education site. * Review student success rates by class and implement plan to reduce student withdrawals. Meet with students to encourage them to stay in the program. Maintain an 80% student success rate for all classes taught in the program. * Monitor competency evaluations and clinical records with students. * Maintain student grades in accordance with established policies. Prepare final grades at the end of each semester to update student records and transcripts. * Evaluate the performance of students regarding course objectives and makes necessary provisions to meet learning needs. * Visit clinical sites to review and evaluate students' clinical performance and progress. Coordinate with site instructors to ensure clinical education is effective. * Coordinate the clinical and didactic education for the Veterinary Nursing Programs program. Coordinate and revise the clinical education plan. Recommend changes to the Program Director. * Coordinate with clinical staff to establish a regular site for students. Coordinate the scheduling of students within the department. Develop clinical objectives and evaluations. * May assist the Program Director with student applicants for admission into the program. * Perform the duties of a Veterinary Nursing instructor as required. The list of essential functions is not exhaustive and may be supplemented. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS * Associate degree from an AVMA accredited Veterinary Technician program recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education or the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA). Baccalaureate degree preferred. * Three (3) years of occupational (i.e., practical) experience within the veterinary field. * Licensed doctor of veterinary medicine (DVM) or a credentialed veterinary technician (CVT). * Must hold current license, certification or other designation as required by local, state or federal laws to work in the veterinary field. * Leadership or supervisory experience preferred. * Verbal and written communication skills. * Knowledge of Word, Excel, Power Point and other computer skills.
