the Clinical Services Coordinator II is responsible for collaborating with clinical/non-clinical staff to facilitate the provision of coordinated interdisciplinary mental healthcare while meeting the needs of the patients/families served. This professional ensures efficient coordination of patient care across the continuum (from referral to discharge). The incumbent will be part of the team that is responsible for developing, implementing, and assessing the operational flow of the broader program. This staff member will assist with setting the tone for a positive and supportive work environment that is reflected in optimized patient care.


Review and coordinate new patient referrals for services per the program protocol. Facilitate multidisciplinary care collaboration by initiating provider communications at admission and for pending administrative discharges.

Create, update, and maintain department specific databases, documents, surveys, and online systems. Score and maintain measures. Provide administrative coordination for specific clinical teams.

Serve as a code green team member and respond to clients in behavioral crises as part of the program's crisis management procedures. Coordinate administrative processing of adult consent per the Institute policy. Assist in administrative processing of abuse and neglect referrals.

Serve on program committees as assigned by supervisor. Provide cross-coverage of duties for non-clinical staff to support daily clinic workflow in instances of assigned staff absence or a vacancy in position. Facilitate the discharge process for patients that meet criteria based on the program's policy.



  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • AA degree or equivalent college credits preferred.


  • Must have at least four years of previous, relevant work experience.

  • Previous experience in a medical/mental health setting is strongly preferred.

This staff member will also interact with patients, families, clinicians and other staff in a courteous and professional manner. Emphasis is placed on adhering to high standards of customer service. Responsibilities Responsible for the reception, greeting and overall patient flow and coordination of services. Provide administrative services to include the preparation of presentations, managing and directing telephone calls/faxes to the appropriate providers/KKI employees, copying, collating/organizing materials, filing, equipment and resource maintenance, mail distribution, stocking staff lounge materials, order supplies and submittal of facilities requests. Provide support as needed and serve as the Care Center representative for all front-end clinical operations, which include, but are not limited to: scheduling and routine financial counseling activities. Enter purchase related information into RQC/XM (KKI Workspace). To include staff reimbursement requests and purchase requests. Has oversight responsibility to maintain and update databases to include but not limited to IAMS and AS400. Organize and prepare materials for VIP visits to CARD Odenton as well as maintain correspondence with VIPs. Monitor patients while parents/families meet with providers. Work with and provide input for on-going assessment and adjustment of care center systems and processes with providers/therapists, the Director and supervisor to identify clinical organization and process improvement opportunities. Assist in all aspects of CARD conferences and other CARD Odenton trainings and events. Qualifications EDUCATION: * High School diploma or GED is required. * Associates degree, or equivalent college credits, is preferred. EXPERIENCE: * A minimum of two years related experience is required. * Administrative support experience in a medical office or clinic setting is preferred. * Some experience with developmentally disabled patients is preferred.
