Assist the Director in maintenance of student clinical rotation schedules, pre and post examinations, end-of rotation exams, and all evaluations.

No Contact Cindy Wright Contact Phone Ext 434-582-2537 Contact Email cgwright3@liberty.edu Job Summary/Basic Function Clinical faculty position will work out of the School of Nursing, and will be responsible for supervising nursing students in the clinical setting, including making patient assignments, completing clinical grading, and promoting positive working relationships with healthcare facilities. The Clinical Instructor will assist with clinical remediation. The area of responsibility for this role is very wide and thus requires thorough knowledge of various processes. Job duties include: 1.Work directly with the Chair of the Residential BSN Program, the Executive Director of Clinical Affairs, lead faculty and staff to support the learning environment for the undergraduate residential student as well as faculty and staff participating in clinical learning experiences. 2.Assists with student learning experiences, curriculum implementation, and other clinical and/or simulation center related duties as assigned. 3.Supervise nursing students during clinical experiences, creates patient assignments, completes clinical grading, and works with unit nurses to ensure patient safety. 4.Remains abreast of existing and emerging evidence based nursing practice. Completes required professional development. 5.Promote a positive working relationship with clinical sites. 6.Works effectively as a team member, embracing and fostering LU's mission. 7.Other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications * Master's degree in nursing required * Current unencumbered Virginia nursing license * At least 3 years clinical experience * Candidate will be professional with excellent personal communication skills and computer skills * Current certification in American Heart Association Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) for Healthcare Provider with AED. Preferred Qualifications * Master's degree in nursing required; doctoral degree or application for enrollment in a doctoral program in nursing preferred * Current unencumbered Virginia nursing license * At least 5 years clinical experience * Current certification in ACLS, PALS, and/or NRP preferred * Current CPR instructor * Candidate will be professional with excellent personal communication skills and good computer skills.
