Our Orthopedic case types include total knee, total hip, total shoulders, spinal fusions and other orthopedic surgeries along with general med surg cases (pneumonia, fracture surgeries, cellulitis, etc.).# Our Ortho team#s leader has been with the organization for over 20 years and leading this team for over 15!!# If you are seeking a work family, this is the unit for you!# Many team members make a career in our Ortho unit however the team is very supportive of nurses who would like to begin their career here and move into a specialty area later on.# Position Summary # Under general supervision, the Registered Nurse demonstrates thorough knowledge of therapeutic patient care, patient advocacy, clinical pathways/care maps, team dynamics, hospital systems, and serves as a resource for the registered nurse and support staff.# Collaborates with leadership in developing and implementing the Spartanburg Medical Center culture, Vision, Mission and goals.
