Job Summary:

The HTC Clinical Research Manager is responsible for the management, development, implementation, and oversight of the clinical and translational research support operations and functions at the HTC. The manager also provides policy guidance and interpretation to the research support team and other stakeholders on a wide variety of operational issues assuring compliance with Federal, University, and departmental rules and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervision and management of clinical research team. Duties include, but are not limited to, recruitment, supervision, and performance management responsibilities.

  • Develop program/project plans based on research goals communicated by the Clinical Research Program Leader and Scientific Director and communicate plans to appropriate stakeholders.

  • Ensure program/project compliance with HRSA/MCHB program grant requirements, Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations, and other regulatory bodies.

  • Support tactical and strategic program/project development and planning as required by the Clinical Research Program Leader and Scientific Director

  • Support HTC community outreach and engagement goals and activities as they include HTC research efforts.

Onsite - this role is expected to work onsite and is located in Aurora, CO.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in any field.

  • A combination of education and related technical/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for the bachelor's degree on a year-for-year basis.

  • Four (4) years of clinical research or related experience.

  • Including two (2) years of management/leadership experience.

Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in science or health-related field.

  • Five (5) years of clinical research or related experience.

  • Prior experience providing program and/or project management duties in a clinical research setting.

  • Experience with electronic data capture systems (e.g. EMR or EHR and data management systems).

  • SoCRA or ACRP certification.

  • Experience in clinical research in bleeding and clotting disorders.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Strong project management skills and experience within a complex and diverse environment.

  • Advanced knowledge and understanding of federal regulations and Good Clinical Practice (GCP).

  • Demonstration of strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and orally.

  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees at all levels throughout the institution.

  • Outstanding customer service skills.

  • Demonstrated commitment and leadership ability to advance diversity and inclusion.

  • Knowledge of basic human anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.

  • Ability to interpret and master complex research protocol information.

Anticipated Pay Range:

The hiring range for this position has been established as $67,403 to $85,736.

The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position may be eligible for overtime compensation, depending on the level.
