The Clinical Research Financial Analyst will be responsible for the financial management of the clinical trials of The Saban Research Institutes (TSRI). These responsibilities span the clinical trial financial life cycle including budget development and negotiation, invoicing, billing and charge review, accounts receivable management, and closeout. The Analyst will provide action-oriented and expert support to Principal Investigators (PIs) and study teams and handle issues with integrity.
A successful candidate will have research administration and/or clinical research experience; experience working with faculty in academic, research, clinical, or administrative settings; ability to collaborate on complex issues; perform effectively in a deadline driven environment; strong interpersonal skills and a strong service orientation. Minimum Education: # # # # #Bachelor#s degree in a related field (Required). Emphasis in Accounting, Finance, Business, Health Sciences (Preferred). # # # # #Certified Coder (Preferred). Minimum Experience:# # # # # #Minimum of 1-3 years relevant work experience (Required) # # # # #Experience in an academic medical center, teaching hospital, or clinical research environment (Preferred). # # # # #Working knowledge of federal and state laws, rules, and regulations related to research and healthcare billing (Required). A Day in the Life Field-basedposition (Portland or S. CA) responsible for clinical trial site management,case coverage and enrollment activities. Responsibilities may include thefollowing and other duties may be assigned. * Assist with overall successful conduct of assigned clinicalstudies consistent with applicable regulations, guidelines, and policies. * Oversee preparation of and revisions to the ClinicalInvestigation Plan for assigned clinical studies. * Oversee preparation of study materials and/or training(e.g., training of investigators, site staff and Medtronic field staff). * Interface with, and assure training of investigators, sitestaff, and Medtronic clinical staff. * Assist in site initiation (e.g. oversight of start-updocument preparation, distribution, receipt, and review). * Set-up and maintain accurate study status and implant logs. * Interfaces with representatives from key functional groups(Research & Development, Manufacturing, Sales, Marketing, Regulatory Affairs,Legal, and European Clinical Groups). * Long term maintenance of study project plan. * Identify and mitigate quality risks and issues for assignedclinical studies. * May Oversee PR and enrollment activities at assigned sitesby managing enrollment meetings and deliverables with various marketing teams. * May review and present cases for a screening committee toensure study subjects meeting trial inclusion/exclusion. * May proctor or provide case support. * May arrange conference calls, staff meetings and trainingevents. Assist in compilation and review of adverse event information. * Assist in coordinating field staff activities with clinicalsite needs. * Oversee follow-up and resolution of site issues noted byfield staff. * Assist in compilation, review and conclusion of devicecomplaints. * Oversee study closure activities (e.g. close-out documentpreparation, distribution, receipt and review, audit and archive). * Assist data management group with review of clinicaldata/information and oversight of data correction. * Assist in preparation of annual, interim and final reportsand presentations. * Assist in control of device allocation, distribution andreconciliation. * Oversee activities performed by Contract ResearchOrganizations (e.g. CROs, core labs). * Contribute to ongoing SOP development and review.Participate in training to enhance knowledge base.
