The Robert M. Berne Cardiovascular Research Center seeks a Clinical Research Coordinator Non-Licensed or Clinical Research Intermediate Non-Licensed to provide scientific input into the development of research studies and facilitate collaborative relationships with clinical investigators and laboratory staff.
The incumbent will work closely with the Human Phenotyping and Immune Cell Core and the Center for Interventional Cardiology to ensure the smooth operation of clinical and translational research through oversight and tracking of all studies, investigators, and ethical review board information, patient recruitment activity, appropriate processing and analysis of specimens, financial management and will report directly to principal investigators. Once trained, the incumbent will be responsible for analyzing and interpreting data, which includes, but not limited to, coronary angiography, intravascular ultrasound, flow cytometry, and mass cytometry and manuscript preparation. The successful candidate will also be responsible for maintaining all clinical and basic science data within the MUSIC database and must adhere to SOPs, GCP, and FDA regulations.
The successful CRC-NL entry level candidate is required to have a minimum of a bachelor's degree in biostatistics, biological sciences or in clinical research and at least two years of clinical research experience. A Clinical Research Coordinator (CCRC) and/or Clinical Research Associate (CCRA) license with four years of experience will be considered in lieu of degree.
The successful CRC-NL intermediate level candidate is required to have a minimum of a bachelor's degree in biostatistics, biological sciences or in clinical research and at least four years of clinical research experience. A related master's degree may substitute for two years of experience.
Preferences will be given to those with a masters or terminal degrees with a minimum of three years of basic or clinical research experience. Certified Clinical Research Coordinator (CCRC), Certified Clinical Research Associate (CCRA), or Certified Clinical Research Professional (CCRP) is preferred, but not required.
Either level must have working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Experience using medical records and database software preferred.
This is a restricted position; continuation is dependent on funding and satisfactory performance.
