Overview
The research & education coordinator in Neuroimmune Psychiatry Disorders Program (NIPD) is responsible for autonomous practice directed by the directors of NIPD and is responsible for two critical roles in the program, research coordination and education coordination. Research coordination (approximately 0.50 FTE) will encompass assisting in clinic associated research grants and studies including clinical research, longitudinal observational studies as well as clinical trials and will receive appropriate and necessary training to complete these duties. The research coordinator will build and maintain research subject spreadsheets for enrollment, data collection and organization of upcoming study visits, engage with subjects for enrollment, follow up and sample collection coordination. The role involves participation in study research team meetings with PIs and study teams, as well as discussions with grant management and grant administration items. The Education Coordinator role (approximately 0.50 FTE) will be coordination of all educational aspects of the clinical teaching for NIPD. Trainees from undergraduate schools, medical school, graduate programs (e.g. psychology), medical residents, fellows and junior faculty have opportunities to do clinical rotations with our multidisciplinary clinical program. The Education Coordinator will coordinate inquiries about clinical learning opportunities, schedule trainees' time with the clinic, and manage and direct learners to required reading/learnings (readings/lectures) on our SharePoint folder in NIPD. The Education Coordinator will be responsible for managing the fellowship in NIPD and fellowship training track (for child psychiatry fellows) in coordination with other programs such as Stanford for lectures. The coordinator will work with and facilitate participation of the team in research presentations, symposia and national and international meetings related to Neuroimmune Psychiatry. The coordinator will maintain the clinic's SharePoint site for publications, required readings, talks and lectures, schedules for learners/rotators. The coordinator will maintain the clinic's research SharePoint site for study documentation including IRB paperwork, consent forms, database links/updates, study personnel CITI training and subject / participant calendar checklists.
Responsibilities
1.Assisting in clinic associated research grants and studies including clinical research, longitudinal observational studies as well as clinical trials.
2.Obtains necessary credentials and training to participate in grant-funded clinical trials and research within the clinic setting.
3.Assists in reviewing eligibility for current studies
4.Conducts follow-up calls and visits with participating members and addresses any and all adverse reactions related to study trial.
5.Assists in maintaining confidential documents and materials related to the study per protocol.
Education Coordinator
6.Coordinates all day to day activities within the clinic related to education of all levels of trainees
7.Coordinates all communications with internal and external organizations and departments related to the educational mission of the program
8.Manages and coordinates all scheduling of training rotations for students, residents, fellows, faculty
9.Coordinates all speaking and presentation scheduling and preparation
Assists team in the creation of learning materials on SharePoint, including clinic website, presentations, publications
Connects families and patients with outside resources and learning
Effectively and efficiently communicates with team members and trainees

Communicates effectively in a variety of formats in all areas of practice.
Actively partners with others to effect change that produces positive outcomes through the exchange of knowledge.

Qualifications
Bachelors and 2 years of relevant research experience OR equivalent years of experience
Ability to travel as required
SOCRA/ACRP Certification or eligible for certification preferred
Required Licensure/Certifications
