Providence is calling a Clinical Research Associate Budgets to Providence St. Joseph Health. This is a full-time, benefited position. This position will work remote and candidates can work from anywhere in the United States.

We are seeking a Clinical Research Budget Associate who will be responsible for the timely and accurate preparation, negotiation and maintenance of budget templates for sponsored clinical trials. Primary role responsibilities include the review of budgets offered by study sponsors, the integration of coverage analysis and investigator feedback regarding protocol procedures, and the set-up of study payment milestones within the Clinical Trial Management System. Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the collection of New Study routing forms and essential study start-up documents, the itemized cost analysis and interpretation of clinical protocols into budgets milestones; the creation and maintenance of billing grids that indicate funding source of each clinical trial event, updated as necessary per contract/protocol amendments; initiation of invoices and reconciliation of study related payments; communication and close interactions with contracts analysts, program managers and internal accounting groups.

In this position you will have the following responsibilities:

  • Be responsible for the development of study budgets (new and amended) from clinical studies protocols and using various software tools

  • Complete full evaluation and integration of internal cost during the set-up of a new clinical study; will revise study budgets following revision of study protocols or re-assessment of study cost

  • Utilize and oversee research rate pricing for PH&S services rendered as part of a clinical trial

  • Communicate with Contracts Analysts to integrate study budget information into clinical trial agreements; may initiate or participate in contract negotiation process

  • Independently initiate or update the study budgets as applicable and communicate specific study billing structure to the clinical teams and service providers

  • Assist with resolution of issues related to study payments

  • Compile reports as a management tool or upon requests

  • Participate in the administration of study-subject related billing as needed and provide support with the auditing of billing records

Required qualifications for this position include:

  • Strong direct hands-on experience in medical billing and coding, preferably with clinical trials related charges

Preferred qualifications for this position includes:

  • Bachelor's Degree with two (2) years of relevant experience

  • Associate's Degree with four (4) years of relevant experience

  • High School Diploma -OR- GED with six (6) years of relevant experience

  • Strong organizational skills

  • Ability to prioritize effectively and work independently

  • Experience within related field of research (billing, regulatory, data coordinator, etc.)

  • Experience with budget negotiations (research and/or non-research)

We are seeking a Clinical Research Coordinator 1 - Program Development Cancer that will be responsible for coordinating and maintaining diverse activities related to clinical cancer research. This includes, but is not limited to: patient eligibility; registration/enrollment; data compilation, abstraction, and submission; study evaluation; quality control; and patient follow-up. The CRC1 interacts closely with institutional investigators, industry sponsors, contract research organizations, NCTN research bases, clinic staff, laboratory staff, and pathology staff. The CRC1 collaborates with fellow clinical research staff throughout the duration of the study to ensure high quality and efficient study conduct. In this position you will: * Be responsible for research data management, including collection of source documents, review and abstraction of data for the completion of case reports forms and query resolution, and tracking/reporting of adverse events, serious adverse events, and protocol deviations * Coordinate the collection of biospecimens for stand-alone research projects and within clinical trials.
