The primary purpose of the Clinical Research Analyst position is to provide strategic planning for budget and contract negotiations for industry-sponsored research.

Key Functions:

Oversees the review of all clinical trial budgets sponsored by private industry, foundations, and federal agencies to facilitate accurate award set-ups.

Ensures protocol revisions are reflected properly in the budget and contracts of private industry, foundations and federal agencies.

Collaborates with and provides consultation to faculty members conducting clinical research studies with private industry, foundations and federal agencies.

Ensures congruency of protocol, contract and supporting documents.

Has working knowledge of the Clinical Trials Policy, Centers for Medicare Services guidelines, National and Local Coverage Determinations, and National Comprehensive Cancer Network. Creates and updates standard operating procedures.

Education

Required: Bachelor's degree.

Preferred: Master's degree.

Experience

Required: Two years of professional research administration experience which includes clinical, regulatory and/or financial experience in a healthcare, scientific or academic setting. May substitute required education degree with additional years of equivalent experience on a one to one basis. With preferred degree, no experience required.

Preferred: Previous experience working in the department of Clinical Research Finance in similar role.
