OhioGuidestone is seeking a Clinical Record Auditor to join our growing Compliance team. Client record audits will be primarily conducted from our Berea, Ohio location, with limited travel to our satellite offices. This individual will review client files for compliance to applicable payer rules, audit claims and billed services, conduct HIPAA access audits, maintain electronic record compliance spreadsheets, provide monthly written reports regarding findings to assigned supervisory personnel and to the PQI Compliance Committee.

Essential Functions:

  • Audit client records, as assigned.

  • Design and carry out targeted audits

  • Communicate audit results to clinical staff and leadership

  • Audits claims and billed services

  • Conduct HIPAA access audits

  • Maintain electronic record compliance spreadsheets

  • Provide monthly written reports regarding findings of noncompliance to assigned supervisory personnel and PQI Committee

  • Provide follow-up, training, and/or other supports to assure improvement in record compliance

  • Assist with COA certification including the gathering of documents, reviewing and rewriting program information, uploading into COA portal and preparing for the on-site visit

  • May be involved in department specific projects or seasonal program changes

  • Other auditing responsibilities may be added as the agency expands programs, services, and/or locations

  • Maintains regular and reliable attendance

  • May be involved in the planning, organization, and implementation of special events or department specific projects or seasonal program changes

  • Exhibit positivity, flexibility and a willingness to take on new responsibilities as requested or required.

  • Demonstrate positive leadership, promote a team-based work environment and present the agency in the most positive light with all internal and external contacts.

Performance/Physical Requirements:

  • Requires typing and computer literacy, including Window applications and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. E-mail and basic database usage required. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Access and PowerPoint may also be required

  • Work is generally performed at a desk, but could involve some lifting of office supplies or files

  • At times the work may involve prolonged periods of standing/sitting

  • English reading and writing skills required

  • Interacts verbally with coworkers, representatives from outside agencies, and families

  • Exceptional phone presence necessary

  • Attention to detail and confidentiality required

  • Travel to agency satellite locations required

Qualifications:

  • Clinical experience in the Behavioral Health/SUD field (Ohio LSW or LPC);

  • Knowledge of Medicaid rules;

  • Preferred skills: experience in quality improvement, audit, compliance, medical coding

  • Must have a valid Ohio Driver's License with a safe driving record and valid insurance

  • Ability to take and pass a physical exam, tuberculosis test, and drug screening

The individual selected will be required to work flexible hours as well as be on-call during non-work hours for crisis management. Successful candidates should be self-starters, positive role models, are good listeners and have outstanding problem solving skills. Supervisor or Managers are to provide leadership and direction in program development and promotion, maintenance and achievement of agency goals/compliance standards/regulatory requirements, fiscal accountability and the overall development and growth of direct and indirect reports. Essential Functions: * Assists the Program Manager, RTC in providing management, leadership and supervisory oversight of the Residential Treatment Specialists. * Assists with the training and coordination of scheduling. * Provides, coordinates and monitors daily programming to ensure that clinically prescribed services and the individualized treatment plan (ITP) are being followed. * Assists with individual programming for residents in accordance to the ITP. * Enhances department's ability to work as a coherent and productive team by communicating consistently with program staff, clinical staff, nurses and leadership team. * Demonstrates and models positive leadership and presents the agency in the most positive light with all internal and external contacts. * Reviews and addresses critical incidents including face-to-face assessments of restraints when on duty. * Performs site inspections, documents safety issues and ensures that all necessary safety-related drills are conducted * Develops and maintains a therapeutic relationship with each resident. * Completes all paperwork required by the agency in an accurate and timely manner (including but not limited to: time sheets, performance evaluations, staff injury/accident reports, critical incident reports (CIR's), resident clothing inventory, resident goals and quarterly reviews). * Assists Program Manager to ensure fiscal accountability of the program. Assures that assigned services and tasks are adequately documented according to program procedures. * Attends supervision and required meetings, training sessions, conferences and workshops to maintain professional competency. * Provides one-on-one and group supervision, intervention and behavioral leadership of residents. * Maintains a positive treatment environment and desired treatment outcomes. * On call by cell phone during non-work hours for clinical consultation and crisis management. * May be involved in the planning, organization, and implementation of special events or department specific projects. * In times of need, employees may be asked to complete related duties other than those indicated above. * Maintains compliance with required licensing and COA rules and standards. Performance/Physical Requirements: * Ability to delegate, manage people, and evaluate staff and programs * Ability to physically restrain residents whose ages, heights and weights vary * Supervisory skills and flexibility to supervise at multiple sites. * Ability to transport residents. * Interacts professionally with coworkers, representatives from outside agencies, and families * Attention to detail and confidentiality required * Works flexible hours. * Strong oral and written skills necessary * Requires typing and computer literacy, including Windows applications, Microsoft Word and Excel, e-mail and basic database usage. * Driver's license with safe driving record in accordance with agency policy Qualifications: Minimum educational level is a High School Diploma/GED and 5 years of experience preferred, working with youth having emotional/behavioral/psychiatric problems. An Associate's degree and at least 2 years of experience working with children having emotional/behavioral/psychiatric problems or a Bachelor's degree in a human services related field is preferred.
