Job Description:
The Clinical Quality Project Coordinator is responsible for ensuring appropriate data entry and medical record documentation for HEDIS/NCQA clinical quality measures, coordinating the Continuing Medical Education (CME) process, and overseeing administrative activities related to Clinical Quality projects. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with excellent organizational skills and a commitment to meeting audit and accreditation standards and requirements.
Key Responsibilities and Tasks:
HEDIS/NCQA Medical Record Documentation Review:
Conduct thorough reviews of medical record documentation to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with HEDIS/NCQA audit requirements
Assist with medical record data collection and data entry as needed
Continuing Medical Education (CME) Program Coordination:
Communicate with physicians and speakers regarding CME topics
Coordinate CME committee meeting agenda and document meeting minutes
Compile and document CME evaluation summaries and reports
Ensure adherence to the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) accreditation requirements
Clinical Quality Administrative Activities:
Assist in implementation of quality improvement projects
Maintain documentation and track performance metrics
Facilitate communication between stakeholders
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment of project objectives and effective communication of project updates.
Skills and Experience Required:
Bachelor's degree with relevant experience in a healthcare setting
Experience with HEDIS/NCQA clinical quality measures and/or healthcare administration
Knowledge of electronic health records and ability to quickly learn new software
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem solving skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Demonstrated ability to exercise independent judgment and problem solve under pressure of deadlines and resource constraints
Demonstrated ability to work on multiple projects and/or perform more than one function on a given project
Salary Range:
$66,560.00 - $84,030.00
