Tampa General Hospital (TGH) is a private not-for-profit hospital and one of the most comprehensive medical facilities in West Central Florida serving a dozen counties with a population in excess of 4 million. Under general supervision of a Manager or designee and following the established policies, procedures and professional guidelines, the Clinical Psychologist diagnoses and evaluates mental and emotional disorders of individuals referred by physicians. Administers programs of treatment, interview and observes patients and selects, administers and interprets intelligence, achievement, interest, personality, neuro-psychological and other tests to diagnose and to formulate treatment plans.
Also responsible for the treatment of psychological disorders, and serves as consultant and participates in research endeavors. Responsible for performing job duties in accordance with the mission, vision and values of Tampa General Hospital.
Education: Doctorate degree in Psychology from an APA approved program in accredited degree granting college or university. Post-doctoral internship in Clinical Psychology from an APA-approved program.Broadly trained Clinical Psychologist with training or experience working with obesity medicine or bariatric patients.
License: Current license with the State of Florida as a Psychologist or the ability to obtain a license prior to start. Eligible to obtain privileges through the TGH Medical Staff office.
