Job Description

Marcus Autism Center is conducting a search for a clinical psychologist with specialization in delivery of empirically supported treatment approaches for mental health concerns in youth with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and related neurodevelopmental disorders from birth through 21 years. Treatment possibilities include treatment of co-occurring anxiety with programs such as Facing your Fears and Coping Cats as well as other intervention possibilities such as treatment for co-occurring depression, executive functioning deficits and social skills training. The program stresses providing caregivers with an initial understanding of ASD and developing empirically supported treatment recommendations.

We are seeking individuals who are interested in providing a high level of clinical care and who are interested in contributing to innovative assessment and treatment of co-occurring conditions. The psychologist will join a multidisciplinary intervention and assessment team that includes professionals from psychology, speech/language pathology, medicine, and social work. The position may involve supervision of trainees at the practicum, predoctoral, and postdoctoral level.

Successful candidates will be well-trained, possess a PhD or PsyD in clinical psychology, school psychology, or a related field and have completed an APA-accredited internship and postdoctoral fellowship. Ideal candidates will have clinical training/background in intervention services.

In-house training and re-specialization are possible for competitive applications. Candidates must be license-eligible to practice as a psychologist in the state of Georgia.

Opportunities exist for support to establish a line of programmatic research for candidates with a track record of successful scholarship. Such support will be time limited, with an expectation to scale scholarly activity commensurate with external funding following a defined start-up period.
