Role Summary:

The Clinical Product Development Leader provides clinical and technical leadership during the sales process through the demonstration of a full range of products/services to prospects. This position is engaged with new and named accounts to establish credibility and help drive clinical strategy. Provides thought leadership on product optimization and market positioning in partnership with key internal stakeholders, and establishes regular and ongoing linkage to the Clinical Applications Team.

Essential Responsibilities:

Key responsibilities/essential functions include (but are not limited to):

  • Help Sales and Engineering efforts by utilizing a strong Clinical expertise and data gathering to influence product development and customer acceptance

  • Ensures that all new products are clinically relevant, and all clinical needs are translated into technical and performance specifications

  • Responsible for Clinical and Research sites management in coordination with the local organizations

  • Dissemination of information on Clinical trends, new procedures and new products or options

  • Provides inputs into Product Council on clinical trends

  • Works with the Product Manager and the local Organization to identify key reference sites for new product introductions

  • Build strong relationship with Luminaries to develop product advancement programs

  • Responsible for the clinical evaluation of new software, options and systems before release

  • Viewed as the product expert from a clinical perspective and able to evaluate product performance

  • Takes active part in the organization of user meetings/ Medical Advisory board in collaboration with the Product Managers and the Sales team

  • Selection of clinical images for the sales library and congresses

  • Resolves the product vs. application issues overcome by training

  • May be responsible for training support and clinical applications as necessary. Supports customer visits at reference site as needed

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Strong medical/clinical background.

  • 8 years or greater RT or MD experience, ARRT certified

  • High focus on clinical knowledge with 5 years or greater experience with the OEC imaging product line used in the Surgery environment.

  • Focused on customer satisfaction with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve customer concerns.

  • High level of interpersonal skills.

  • Influencing skills.

Quality Specific Goals:

  • Aware of and comply with the GEHC Quality Manual, Quality Management System, Quality Management Policy, Quality Goals and applicable laws/ regulations as they apply to this job type/position

  • Complete all planned Quality & Compliance training within the defined deadlines

  • Identify and report any quality or compliance concerns and take immediate corrective action as required

  • Knowledge and understanding of all Global Privacy and Anti-Competition Policies (including but not limited to GE Healthcare HIPPA Guidelines, NEMA Regulations, etc.) and operate within them to ensure that no company policy or US/ Int'l Law is broken.

  • Knowledge and understanding of all Environmental Health Policies (including but not limited to GE Healthcare EHS Policies, GE Healthcare Fleet Rules, etc.) and operate within them to ensure that no company policy or US/ Int'l Law is broken

  • Drive continuous improvement on all related processes, work instructions, and procedures to ensure ongoing standardization and simplification of the Quality Management System.

Desired Characteristics:

  • GE Healthcare Clinical Application Experience.

  • Healthcare business and process knowledge.

  • Project Management experience

  • Experience supporting engineering on New Product Introductions or special projects

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
