The Clinical Prior Authorization Specialist

• LPN is responsible for obtaining authorizations to ensure reimbursement for services and testing provided throughout the organization. Accurately manages the authorization process.
  
  Able to secure authorization and necessary documentation to ensure patient care is not impacted and meets time-sensitive requests. Is pro-active in troubleshooting instances which could result in great financial loss. Demonstrates excellent customer service skills and works in a positive manner for collaboration and clear communication between providers, staff, insurers, and families.
  
  Meets turnaround expectations for majority of prior authorization approvals. Utilizes licensure and clinical knowledge to support the authorization process, and to prevent clinical denials. # Education, Training # Experience Hospital or physician practice experience strongly preferred Previous experience with prior authorizations strongly preferred # Certifications / Licensure Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) licensure required

Salary Range:

$23.76-$39.01 Pay Grade:# Compensation may vary based upon, but not limited to: overall experience and qualifications, shift, and location.

Education, Training & Experience

Hospital or physician practice experience strongly preferred

Previous experience with prior authorizations strongly preferred

Certifications / Licensure

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) licensure required

Salary Range: $23.76-$39.01
