Position Summary

Under general supervision, and according to general policies and procedures, the Clinical Pharmacy Manager is responsible for designing, implementing and managing the pharmacy clinical programs. This includes formulary management, policy and procedure development and education across the healthcare spectrum. The Clinical Pharmacy Manager shall also assist in managing the pharmacy when the Pharmacy Director or designee is unavailable.

Education

Doctor of Pharmacy from an ACPE-accredited college of pharmacy

License/

Certifications

Active pharmacist license in good standing with the appropriate State Board of Pharmacy

ACLS certification is preferred

At least 5 years of hospital pharmacy experience required, or possess BCPS specialty certifications

Completion of hospital PGY1 or pharmacy specialty residency preferred

Experience

Minimum of 1 year as a Pharmacy Clinical/Operations Specialist or one of the following

Specialty BPS certification (i.e. BCCCP, BCPS)

Other certification (e.g. FCCP, FASHP)

Hospital Pharmacy Management experience is preferred

Organization - proactively prioritizes needs and effectively manages resources

Interpersonal Skills - able to work effectively with other employees, patients and external parties

Communication - communicates clearly and concisely

PC Skills - demonstrates proficiency in Microsoft Office, Meditech, and purchasing vendor applications and others as required
