Provide consultative pharmaceutical care services to DCT patients and/or inmates in Minnesota County Jails. Clinical consultations for DCT and County Jail staff regarding but not limited to drug formularies, Involuntary Medication Orders (IMOs), medication reviews, documentation of medication administration, etc. Serve as a consultant to medical and nursing staff to provide the most current information regarding drug therapies.

Provide education to students, residents, staff, community partners, and patients/inmates on pharmaceutical topics Ensure that the Jail facility staff know the expectations and follow the processes for properly dispensing medications, meeting all legal and accreditation/certification requirements, and complying with all applicable policies, procedures, codes, and standards for the facility. Network with community pharmacies and medical service providers to help County Jail staff develop working relationships with and/or contracts for services needed. Why work for Us:

Board Certified Psychiatric Pharmacist (BCPP) Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist (BCPS) Eligible to sit for an appropriate pharmacy specialist exam. Completion of a PGY2 Pharmacy Residency in Psychiatric Pharmacy. Proficient at documentation, project development, and/or precepting.
