Conveniently located in beautiful downtown Brunswick, the Mid Coast Hospital Walk-In Clinic offers expert and urgent care for minor medical problems such as cuts, sprains, coughs, and infections, plus on-site diagnostic services, a co-located laboratory service center, and integration with primary care.

• Mid Coast Hospital is seeking a Clinical Pharmacist to join their team.

• Position Summary This position consists of 32 hours per week, evening shifts with weekend requirement.

• The clinical pharmacist works with physicians, physician assistants, nurses, dietitians, pharmacy technicians, and other pharmacists to ensure the safe and effective use of medication.

• The Clinical Pharmacist embodies the Culture of Safety and adheres to all patient and staff safety policies and procedures and reports all unsafe or potentially unsafe patient or staff conditions immediately.

• Clinical Pharmacists assist the Director of Pharmacy in planning, development and implementation of departmental programs and procedures, maintaining an efficient system that provides patient centered, community focused, cost effective, clinically effective coordinated care. In the absence of the Director of Pharmacy and Clinical Coordinator, Pharmacists are responsible for all daily pharmacy operations.

• Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

• Education: B.S. in Pharmacy from accredited school of Pharmacy required. PharmD preferred. Completion of an accredited PGY-1 pharmacy residency preferred

• License/Certifications: Current licensure with Board of Pharmacy in the State of Maine required or eligible to obtain licensure in Maine prior to start date.

• Experience: Acute Care Hospital Pharmacy experience preferred
