The Position

Clinical Operations Systems Integration & Adoption Leader

System Integration and Adoption Leader Product Development Global Clinical Operations will report directly to the Global Head of the Centers of Excellence, Product Development Global Clinical Operations. This leader will be a member of the Product Development Global Clinical Operations (PDG) Centers of Excellence (COE) leadership team (COELT) and to support business objectives and drive operational excellence will play a critical role in ensuring that the organization's systems and potentially transformative technologies are effectively integrated and adopted.

The Opportunity

  • Leads and develops a PDG team of 'Product Owners'* to assess, evaluate and represent the organization's technology needs and priorities, ensuring that the selected systems and technologies align with the strategic goals and objectives of the business. Partner with Informatics Business

  • Participates as a member of the PDG COE Leadership and Portfolio teams to collectively set strategies and achieve the long-term strategy & outcomes for PDG. Develops robust business cases for investments, and realization plans to increase efficiency such as decreasing Pharma development timelines and resources

  • Builds strong relationships with other functions and customer groups and negotiates across the larger Roche organization to cultivate a shared vision of the future of technology and its transformative potential to the organization. Inspires and cultivates a culture of technology literacy within the organization and is adept at translating the potential of technology to non-technical stakeholders

  • Represents PDG in the selection process of systems and technologies, considering factors such as functionality, scalability, true benefit and compatibility. Makes trade-off decisions when necessary to balance the needs of the business with available resources

  • Ensures audit / inspection readiness and Business Continuity Planning with BPO/GPO and that Process Owner CSV/Validation accountabilities are met by PDG. Represent PDG on appropriate governance bodies and internal/external work streams

  • Develops and implements strategies to promote the smooth integration and adoption of new systems and technologies across PDG. Collaborates with business to ensure smooth transitions and minimize resistance to change. Monitor adoption rates and gather feedback to continuously improve adoption strategies

  • Has oversight on the performance and efficiency of PDG and its system utilization and identifies areas for improvement and implementing enhancements to streamline operations and achieve cost savings. Conducts thorough assessments of existing systems and identifies opportunities to optimize or retire outdated technology

Who You Are

  • A minimum of 10-15+ years of experience in varied clinical operations roles within the pharmaceutical or biotech industry. In-depth understanding of clinical operations and the drug development process, including knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry trends..

  • Strong leadership expertise and experience leading and managing a global teams (composed of direct and indirect reports)

  • Proven ability to inspire employees at all levels and an accomplished record of leading cross-functional teams in complex, matrixed organizations.

  • Strong strategic thinking and the ability to translate vision into actionable plans and initiatives that drive positive outcomes especially as it relates to Systems.

  • Outstanding influencing and negotiation skills with proven ability to influence senior leaders in a complex global environment.
