Job Description:

Reporting to the Director Food and Nutrition Services, the Clinical Nutrition Manager (CNM) manages and coordinates the daily operation of all Clinical Nutrition activities in the Nutrition Services Department. The CNM serves as a liaison with other departments on patient care issues and ensures that State, Federal, The Joint Commission, and all other standards of performance are being met. He or she will supervise the Clinical Dietitian team as they visit, screen, and prioritize patient care based on acuity level, develop and implement appropriate nutritional care and ultimately evaluate and report the results accordingly. Responsibilities include:

  • Coordinate all clinical nutrition care provided to patients including supervision of the clinical professional staff

  • Demonstrate a thorough working knowledge and enforces uniform compliance with all current policies, procedures, and regulatory standards (hospital, department, TJC, HRS, OSHA, EEOC, other within patient nutrition and food service areas

  • Oversee the interviewing, hiring, orientation, training, continuous education, performance appraisals and counseling of employees

  • Assist the Director with development and implementation of the department Performance Improvement (PI) Plan and prepares Quarterly PI reports for Nutritional Services

Qualifications

  • Registered Dietitian with the American Dietetic Association required

  • Licensure with the State of Florida

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Nutrition or related area required

  • 1 year of experience in healthcare nutrition management required

  • 3 years' experience supervising nutritional services in an acute care setting preferred

  • Ability to work as necessary on Weekends/Saturdays
