Job Summary
Estrella Mountain Community College (EMCC) is hiring a Clinical Nursing OYO (One Year Only) simulation/lab faculty to support the Nursing division. This position provides simulation and lab instructional support for faculty and nursing students from diverse backgrounds and/or cultures across the lifespan. This lab-based position will focus on building and creating lab/simulation experiences throughout the nursing program.
Please note this position is for Fall 2024.
Minimum Qualifications
1.Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree plus 3 years of experience as a professional nurse providing direct patient care
2.Must hold an Arizona registered nurse license in good standing or multi-state privilege to practice in Arizona by the first day of employment.
3.Must be able to meet health and safety requirements including CPR certification, Fingerprint Clearance Card, and drug testing.
Desired Qualifications
A. Graduate degree in Nursing
B. Experience as a registered nurse in medical/surgical acute care setting.
C. Recent practice in lab or clinical settings specializing in Medical/Surgical nursing.
D. Experience teaching nursing students in the classroom, lab/simulation, and clinical settings in a college or nursing program.
E. Experience in working with high-fidelity simulation. Knowledge on prebrief and debrief in simulation.
F. Experience working within a nursing lab, knowledge on curriculum guided nursing lab, assessment understanding, and familiarity of nursing lab equipment. And nursing lab technology.
G. Experience working with, interacting with and instructing individuals of diverse abilities and/or cultural backgrounds.
Special Working Conditions
Working in the classroom, lab/simulation, and various health care settings as a clinical nursing instructor, including hospitals, long-term care facilities, and community agencies.
Must meet the health and safety standards required for clinical faculty.
Must be able to meet health and safety requirements including CPR certification, Fingerprint Clearance Card, and drug testing.
