CLINICAL NURSE (Triage) - Monday

  • Friday

  • DAY SHIFT

The Heart Center Communications Department at Duke University Hospital is active in delivering exemplary care for heart patients to ensure an excellent patient experience, every time.

The heart communication center is located in Durham, NC. The call center receives an average of 200 calls per day.

Daily duties include, but are not limited to:

  • assessing cardiac patients via phone
  • patient education
  • scheduling patients for procedures
  • prescription refills
  • pre op and post op follow up

Work Hours & Day Shift:

  • Full Time: 40 hours per week

  • Monday

  • Friday -

Knowledge, Skills, Education, and Experience Required:

  • Three years of cardiac or critical care nursing experience
  • BSN required

Prefered Skills

  • experience working in critical care of cardiac care

  • experience working in Epic

  • Telephone comfort

Licensure, Certification or Registration Required:

  • Current registration with North Carolina State Board of Nursing as a registered professional nurse OR current compact RN licensure to practice in the state of North Carolina required.

  • BLS (or higher) certification required.

  • Professional specialty certification (preferred).
