Summary

Provides advanced care, consultation, research, management and education in a specific clinical area

This Clinical Nurse Specialist will practice in the Emergency Department.

Job Duties

  • Provides advanced direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization

  • as an expert consultant for staff in areas of program development, clinical practice, and professional development

  • Contributes to defining, directing and evaluating the nursing care and functions of clinical staff

  • Manages clinical research projects in support of evidence-based practice and disseminates findings

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Nursing and graduate of an accredited Clinical Nurse Specialist program

  • 3 years nursing experience

  • State licensure as an Advanced Practice Nurse (APN), Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) and/or other designation as required by law

  • BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date. BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire. All life support certification cards must be issued by either the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer. (American Red Cross for the Professional Rescuer is only good upon hire and all renewals will need to be through an American Heart Association sanctioned course.)

Due to Point of Care Testing duties associated with this position, upon hire, a copy of highest level of education (diploma, degree, or transcripts) would be required to present to the hiring manager. If this is available to you at this time, please attach it with your resume in one document.

Position Summary: The Adolescent Psych RN is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating the care of the patient with a psychiatric illness. Functions to seek methods to improve patient care on an ongoing basis. Demonstrates knowledge of regulatory law as it relates to the care of the mentally ill patient. When the need arises, will perform other duties as assignedLicensure/Certification/Registration: Current licensure in the State of Colorado as a Registered Nurse; BLS – Healthcare provider.
