Clinical Nurse Manager Full Time, Day Shift, Springfield, MA Schedule: Day Shift, No Weekends or Major Holidays

  • Healogics is hiring for a Clinical Nurse Manager to join our Wound Care Center team in Springfield, MA The Clinical Nurse Manager (Registered Nurse-RN) is responsible for the coordination of clinical activities of the Wound Care Center including but not limited to use of organizational skills, leadership, planning, implementing, evaluating, and providing patient care using hospital and nursing standards.

    Responsibilities:
    Provides case management to a group of patients providing specific assessments according to protocols and procedures, clinical competence in procedural skills, treatments, and patient/caregiver education related to wound care management.
    Provides HBO patient assessment and chamber operation as required.
    Organizes and prioritizes clinical responsibilities, provides direct supervision to clinical staff, (RN, LPN, MA, Med Assist, etc). Collaborates with other health care providers, Wound Care Center Physicians, Program Director, and Medical Director regarding clinic and patient needs.
    Consistently looks at current processes and procedures and identifies and implements areas of improvement while adhering to HIPAA, JCAHO, DOH as well as hospital and DCS requirements.
    Collaborates with Program Director and Medical Director to develop, implement and manage a continuous Performance Improvement Program (PIP). Engages in staff development, providing general in services as well as individual instruction and orientation.
    Provides staff recognition through positive reinforcement and constructive feedback.
    Collaborates with Program Director in coordination of program objectives, from a budgetary and financial perspective.
    Collaborates with Program Director and Medical Director to achieve Wound Care Center quality indicators Participate in unit Quality Assurance and improvement and hospital committees as designated.
    Clinical Nurse Manager

    Requirements:
    Licensed Registered Nurse, BSN preferred Must maintain and demonstrates competency in BLS, infections control safety, and all unit required skill review, ACLS preferred.

Responsibilities The Nurse Manager Assistant is responsible for the delivery of clinical services. Manages clinical and support staff. Responsible and accountable for daily operations to achieve best practice and organizational objectives. The Nurse Manager Assistant is responsible for implementation of the strategic plan and standards of care and practice in accordance with regulatory requirements within the inpatient medical- surgical telemetry unit. S/He develops, coordinates, integrates and oversees inter-disciplinary programs, monitors performance standards and existing practices and designs new systems to improve organizational performance and staff competence. S/He is responsible for demonstrating leadership, providing staff development, ensuring competence and collaborating with Medical Staff and Senior Management to deliver high quality, cost-effective care across the continuum. The Nurse Manager Assistant will be a supportive nurse management resource to the nursing departments for multiple medical-surgical telemetry acute care units. S/He will work with the nurse leadership team to create and support the goals of the organization. Qualifications * Education: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing is required. MSN a plus * Licensure: Current NJ RN License is required * BLS certification required, ACLS and / or telemetry certification preferred. Nationally Certified in Specialty highly preferred. Will be required to obtain National Certification within nine (9) to twelve (12) months * Experience: Demonstrated clinical competence with a minimum of 3 years of Nursing experience * Prior Assistant Manager or Supervisor experience highly preferred * Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Leadership and motivational skills. Critical thinking, program development and project management skills.
