Job Summary: The Clinical Nurse Leader (CNL) is a quality-focused member of the clinical leadership team that functions at the point of care to facilitate quality patient outcomes for patients and families.

The Clinical Nurse Leader is a master#s prepared nursing generalist that provides and manages care in the healthcare microsystem. The CNL has 24-hour accountability for the care provided by self and others to whom care is delegated.

Minimum Requirements:

Graduate of an approved, accredited school of nursing and completion of a master#s degree in nursing with an emphasis on the CNL role. Certification as a CNL. Recent acute care experience.

Minimum of 3-5 years recent experience in an acute care setting. Advanced critical thinking skills. Ability to lead, mentor, and develop staff at the point of care.

Must exhibit advanced interpersonal skills both verbal and nonverbal. Self-motivated , must have demonstrated abilities to motivate others. Basic understanding of email, e-learning, intranet and computer navigation.

Must be competent in the use of spreadsheets, databases, and graphical portrayal of data and information.

Must possess a license as a registered nurse in the state of PA. Ability to flex work schedule outside of normal business hours to meet the needs of clients.

Job Summary: Collaborates with provider and clinical team to deliver oncology care across the care continuum. Designated leader of clinical oncology quality initiatives. Leads implementation of evidence based medicine/clinical practice. Leads QI projects through cancer continuum. Ensures quality of cancer care services rendered meets or exceeds professionaly recognized national and institutional standards. Supports the efforts of Quality Assurance/improvement Committees of the Cancer Program. Serve as a consultant in clinical quality processes and quality improvement efforts. Helps indentify and design QI studies. Provides benchmark data. Collaborates with all hospital departments to coordinate in patient and out patient Quality Indicators and standards of care. Work autonomaously throughout the oncology continuum to assess quality initiatives and lead their implementation Minimum Requirements: MSN, Master#s degree in education/nursing clinical speciality/healthcare related field. A minimum of 5 years experience in oncology and quality assurance/improvement activities preferred including peer review processes and group dynamics. Statistical and research process understanding. Excellent communication (oral and written) skills necessary to interact with diverse groups of individuals. Strong research skills and ability analyze data.
