Interventional Radiology (IR), which uses radiological technology to perform minimally invasive interventional techniques, is revolutionizing the way many health services are delivered. Clinical Nurses perform versatile roles in the facilitation of minimally invasive vascular, neurological, and interventional procedures: angiographies, angioplasties, stent placements, biopsies, vertebroplasties, embolizations, and many more.

Most procedures are done with moderate sedation provided by the IR Clinical Nurse. In addition, while you can practice autonomously, you will be part of a fun and collaborative team.

There is a very limited call requirement: one weekday night every 3-4 weeks; one weekend every 16-18 weeks; and a holiday every two years. Call time is generously compensated.

If you are interested in learning more or participating in a unit observation, please contact Barbara Dennis at Barbara.J.Dennis@hitchcock.org or (603) 653-0449.

  • Certain conditions apply. Please talk to a Recruiter for program criteria.

Graduate of an accredited nursing program, current NH Registered Nurse licensure, one year of critical care nursing experience in an acute care hospital preferred, and ACLS Certification required. Moderate Sedation Certification required or completed upon hiring.
