The Clinical Nurse is an engaged and credentialed member of the Professional Nursing Organization and is responsible for autonomous practice directed by the professional tenets of practitioner, leader/decision maker, scientist and transferor. The Clinical Nurse is responsible for utilizing the nursing process to provide evidence-based care and to continuously monitor and evaluate practice to ensure safe passage of patients that is in the best interest of populations served.

Responsibilities:
A listing of the key responsibilities

Practitioner

  • Utilizes the nursing process to assess, diagnose, identify outcomes, plan, implement and evaluate an individualized plan of care.

  • Utilizes critical thinking and the nursing process to anticipate and recognize changes in patient status, taking action to modify the plan of care or to elevate to the care team as necessary.

  • Practices in accordance with the ANA Code of Ethics to advocate for patients, uphold their autonomy in decision-making, ensure informed consent and assist patients in families in expressing self-determination.

  • Actively seeks feedback and acts to improve performance.

  • Engages in the governance of practice.

Leader/Decision Maker

  • Manages interpersonal relationships for self and with others.

  • Mentors colleagues for the advancement of nursing practice and the profession.

  • Assumes authority and accountability for the nursing care of patients while appropriately delegating elements of care to others members of the care delivery team in accordance with laws, regulations and policies and procedures.

  • Prioritizes and organizes time to optimize patient outcomes.

Scientist

  • Actively seeks out the most current evidence and standards and applies and translates to daily practice.

  • Role models a culture of inquiry, developing new knowledge by contributing to research, quality improvement, and evidence-based practice at the local level.

  • Transferor

  • Communicates effectively in a variety of formats in all areas of practice.

  • Actively partners with others to effect change that produces positive outcomes through the exchange of knowledge.

  • Precepts the student nurse, nurse extern, nurse resident, experienced clinical nurse and other members of the healthcare team.

  • Performs other duties as required or assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Graduate from an accredited Nursing Program required.

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing (BSN) with 1 year of experience.

  • Associate Degree (ADN) prepared nurses with 2 years' experience.

  • All Associate Degree (ADN) prepared nurses must commit to completing a BSN or higher nursing degree within 10 years of their hire date.

Required Licensure/Certification

Skills:
  • Licensed Registered Nurse in New Hampshire required.

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certificate required.

We are currently seeking a full-time Clinical Supervisor for our Habit OPCO - West Lebanon Comprehensive Treatment Center. Hours are Monday - Friday, 5:30 AM - 1:30 PM. Habit OPCO - West Lebanon CTC, a member of Acadia Healthcare's Comprehensive Treatment Centers, is a part of the leader in medication assisted treatment for individuals struggling with an opioid addiction. With full-circle care that includes a blend of therapies and the use of safe and effective medications, we are prepared to treat the entire problem, not just a piece of it. Position Characteristics The Clinical Supervisor is responsible for the supervision of a clinical work group in an outpatient addiction recovery environment; maintains standards of professional counseling practice in accordance with clinic policies and procedures; responsible for directing care of patients, facilitating work flow, serving as a resource for staff and providing team leadership. Responsibilities * Provides supervision of clinical staff and ensures compliance with state and federal regulations, CARF standards, and clinic and corporate policies and procedures; * Makes staff assignments and creates schedules; updates support staff when changes are made; * Monitors counselor's compliance with productivity requirements and develops improvement plan when requirements are not met; * Ensures quality patient care; conducts treatment plan reviews as needed; * Performs chart audits and communicates results of audits to staff; * Assess level of care for patients; conducts treatment plan review as required; * Participate in reviews ensuring adherence to policy, best practices, and regulatory requirements; * Assists with the recruitment, hiring and training of qualified clinical staff; * May also be involved in crisis intervention and work as a liaison within community; * Ensures ethical and professional conduct by clinical staff; and, * Perform other duties as assigned.
