Registered Nurse (RN) - Emergency Department

• Clinical Manager Position Summary: Assists with developing specific departmental goals, standards, and objectives which directly support the strategic plan and vision of the organization.
  
  Manages staff relations including performance management, staff satisfaction, and conflict management. Performs and oversees scheduling, staff development, recruitment, payroll, and student engagements. Monitors departmental budgets, regulatory compliance, departmental contracts, and vendor relations.
  
  Determines and justifies needs for systems/equipment/supplies purchases, monitors usage, and oversees proper working order and/or stock supplies. Assesses the quality of patient care delivered and coordinates patient care services with patients, staff, physicians, and other departments; may provide patient care when necessary. Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.

  Minimum of one (1) year of RN clinical experience in an emergency department required . Minimum two (2) years supervisory/management or Charge Nurse experience, preferably in a patient care setting required . Basic Life Support (BLS) American Heart Association (AHA) required Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) American Heart Association (AHA) required Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) American Heart Association OR Emergency Nurse Pediatric Certification (ENPC) Emergency Nurse Association required or within six (6) months of hire Trauma Nurse Certification Course (TNCC) Emergency Nurse Association Preferred Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action . Requires flexibility in scheduling and ability to work all shift patterns including weekends and holidays to e nsure continuity of care and appropriateness of nursing coverage to the patients of Sovah Health Danville on all units.
