Summary:

Successful candidate's will initiate one on one dialog with potential referral sources and maintain positive relationships with current referral sources. They will design, develop and drive cutting edge sales strategies designed to increase patient/resident admissions that leverage Kindred's core competence in the area of rehabilitating medically complex patients/residents.

The successful candidate will leverage their clinical/sales expertise to sell Kindred's 'Continuum of Care' model to prospective referral sources aiding in the patient/resident admissions/referral process. This process begins with identifying new prospects, educating them on Kindred's business model and clearly establishing how Kindred is able to differentiate themselves from their competition.

Through the building of long term relationships with these referring facilities and physicians, the successful candidate will facilitate the identification and assessment of future patient/resident admissions factoring in length of stay, and level of acuity which should align with the outcomes expected from Kindred's clinical expertise in rehabilitation and nursing.

The candidate can expect to spend most of their time (80% or more) in the field, making presentations, assessing patients/residents and building these long term relationships.

Our ideal candidate will have a college degree in and clinical licensure in addition to having prior full life cycle sales experience within the healthcare industry.

Education:

College degree required.

Either an Associate's or Bachelor's degree with clinical licensure.

Licenses/Certification:

Valid driver's license.

Clinical Licensure required. (RN/ LPN/ RT preferred)

Experience:

Two years of former marketing/sales experience.

Formal Sales Training.

Experience:

2 years demonstrated full life cycle sales experience (B2B and/or DTC) from lead generation, educating the client, persistent follow up and follow through on all leads, issues and success stories.

Strong preference given to candidates who have previously operating in the sales function of a medical device, institutional pharmaceutical or healthcare setting company.

Consideration will be given to those with prior Durable Medical Equipment and / or Home Health and /or Hospice.

Previously demonstrated experience working in a clinical setting where they were directly involved with patient diagnosis and/or assessing acuity for complex patients/residents.

Position Summary: The Clinical Nurse Liaison will serve as the initial contact with discharge planners, family or responsible party to initiate tour and admission to facility. They will also manage the discharge process and patient follow-up once the patient returns home. In addition, they will establish a strong sales presence with target audiences, including but not limited to: Acute Care providers, physicians, and others as identified within service area to promote awareness of the services for which the Community provides. Work Environment Indoor with adequate lighting and ventilation, carpet, tile, wooden floors. Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The physical demands of this position include; * Standing, sitting, walking, changing of position, reaching, extending hands arms, reach across midline, crouching, balancing, kneeling, stooping, bending, lifting or carrying 35 lbs push and pull 100 lbs. Sensory Demands: * Auditory: to hear and understand verbal request, * Visually: be able to read necessary information to complete work tasks, * Verbally: communicate with customers and others on your team SAFETY EQUIPMENT: * It is mandatory to follow safety policies and procedures including use seat belt while driving or riding in a car, when moving items as well as all personal protective equipment. * Mandatory reporting of all work related injuries within 12 hours to supervisor with participation in required documentation. * Participation in our drug testing procedures is a mandatory part of employment with this facility. OSHA Exposure: * Category II, which is characterized as employees who routinely do not perform tasks that involve exposure to blood and body fluids and or tissue however in certain situations, may be placed in category I.
