Clinical Liaison

Our clinical teams are challenged with a wide variety of cases spanning many neurologic and orthopedic disease specific categories as well as multi-trauma related injuries. Our partnership with Encompass Health and UMass Medical provides a focus on strong rehabilitative care and the patient base only a recognized trauma center and teaching hospital can provide.

The Clinical Liaison is a field based clinical position providing clinical screening of potential referrals to our inpatient rehabilitation hospital(s) through in person and telephonic methods. You will work with existing hospitals and community referral sources, using face to face contacts, helping to maintain admission levels and educating patients on the benefits of acute rehabilitation services if appropriate. You will work off site and report in daily and weekly activity plans and ideas to help develop new referral sources.

You will wo with Discharge Planners, Case Managers, Physicians, Nurses and Therapists, as well as review patient charts and make direct clinical assessments to determine appropriateness for short term aggressive inpatient rehab services. Additionally, you will seek out community events that present possible marketing outlets to help grow the image of our 9 rehab hospitals in the New England area.

Travel is daily from home with weekly or bi-weekly meetings at the hospital as needed. Interest in and prior experience in sales and marketing are key to your success in this role.

What types of patients do we treat? We are an acute rehabilitation hospital. Our patients come to us days out of ICU with a wide variety of recent and often significant medical events such as: stroke, spinal cord injury, brain injury, various neurological disorders, rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, amputation, joint replacement, fractures, multiple trauma, cardiac conditions, and pulmonary conditions. 80% of our patients are discharged directly home after just 1-3 weeks with us.

License or Certification

• Licensed in good standing by the appropriate state board of nursing or physical, occupational, or respiratory therapy.

Education, Training and Years of Experience:

• Degreed and Licensed Nurse or Therapist.

• Minimum 2 years of clinical experience, with marketing experience highly preferred.

• Medically complex patient experience preferred.
