Description

The Department of Psychology at Iona University invites applications for a renewable, full-time, clinical lecturer position to begin in Fall 2024. We are seeking candidates who can teach a range of courses, including undergraduate and graduate courses, including abnormal psychology, research methods, statistics, personality, psychological assessment, developmental psychology, and courses that match the successful candidate's interests and skills and that meet Departmental needs.

The successful candidate will be expected to teach 12 credits per term, serve as core faculty in the Psychology Department, and provide service to the Department and University. Special consideration will be given to candidates who have teaching and/or clinical/research experience in neuropsychology, cognitive/behavioral neuroscience, or a related field. Special consideration will also be given to applicants who have training in school psychology or are NYS certified school psychologists.

Required Skills

Applicants must have completed a PhD or PsyD in Psychology or a related area of psychology from an accredited program prior to joining. Qualified ABD applicants will also be considered during the interview stage.

Successful candidates will have the ability to engage with a diverse array of students, and a demonstrated commitment to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in an educational environment. Previous college-level teaching experience is strongly preferred.
