  • Job Purpose: Clinical Leadership:

    Serves as an expert nursing resource to the interdisciplinary team regarding patient care issues and clinical operations. Facilitates clinical coordination of care to promote a smooth patient flow and maximize patient experience. Develops a daily staffing plan to ensure adequate nursing resources.

    Collaborates with nurse manager around effective use of staff resources. As Clinical Leader, provides leadership for clinical operations on a daily basis. Communicates pertinent information regarding IR activities and leads unit practice changes. Assists in preparation of the IR nursing payroll and staff scheduling.

Staff Development: Supports the orientation of new nursing staff and the development of clinical expertise.

Provides real time feedback and guidance to clinical staff to promote clinical and professional development in areas such as patient assessment, clinical decision making skills, provision of patient care, and clinical documentation. Participates in the determination of unit based nursing competency needs.

Quality Improvement: Participates in the development of annual unit based quality goals and objectives based on unit outcome data and needed system and process changes. Supports staff with the implementation and evaluation of quality improvement initiatives, evidence based practice changes, clinical guidelines, protocols, policies and procedures.

Qualifications:
Work Experience:

Minimum of 2 years current interventional radiology nursing practice or other interventional procedural area. 2 years prior critical care nursing experience required. Current AHA BLS certification required. Prior moderate sedation experience required

This individual will independently develop and optimize analytical methods for engineered cell medicines, perform technical transfer of assays, support Quality, and contribute to regulatory filings. </p> <p><strong>Key</strong><strong> Responsibilities: </strong></p> <ul> <li>Work collaboratively with Research to transfer assays into Analytical Development. </li> <li>Independently perform assay development and optimization. </li> <li>Collaborate with Process Development and Quality to generate data to support formulation studies, stability studies, and characterization of drug substance and/or drug product. </li> <li>Perform analytical method technical transfer, including generating supportive documentation, training, and technical support to Quality Control or central testing laboratories, including providing technical support for assay qualification and validation efforts. </li> <li>Compile and present data to program teams. Participate in program teams. Lead technical sub-teams. </li> <li>Author and review test methods, technical reports, and supporting procedures. </li> <li>Document all experimental work, supporting information, and data in an electronic lab notebook or test methods in a timely manner. </li> <li>Manage and actively participate in, as required, the testing of reference standards, lead stability samples, forced stability samples, toxicology lots, engineering runs, and clinical manufacturing runs, as appropriate. </li> <li>Provide guidance to research associates and cross-train personnel. </li> <li>Author, review, and provide technical expertise on analytical methods during the preparation of CMC-related regulatory filings for engineered cell medicine programs. </li> <li>Support Quality with required data, technical assessments, and expertise, including contributing to management reviews, change controls, CAPAs, deviations, stability plans, specifications, OOS results, comparability assessments, and assay validation. </li> <li>Other responsibilities as assigned. </li> </ul><p><strong>Requirements</strong></p><p><strong>Minimum</strong><strong> Requirements:</strong></p> <ul> <li>PhD in a life science discipline such as Immunology, Cell Biology, Biological Sciences, Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, or Biomedical Engineering with 2-5 years of relevant analytical development, technical transfer, and quality control experience; or Master’s in a life science discipline such as Immunology, Cell Biology, Biological Sciences, Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, or Biomedical Engineering with 8+ years, or Bachelor’s with 12+ years of relevant analytical development, technical transfer, and quality control experience.</li> <li>Experience with cell culture, flow cytometry, and cellular analytical methods.
