Under the direction of the Senior Clinical Support and Technical Training Manager, the Laboratory Training Specialist will provide in depth training to customers and internal personnel on the utilization and applications of our full line of Tosoh analyzers. As a vital member of the Clinical Support and Technical Training Group, the successful candidate will also develop and implement training programs and materials tailored to customers. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conduct effective customer training classes for the AIA-900 and AIA-2000 immunoassay analyzers.

  • Design and prepare classroom training materials for the AIA-900 and AIA-2000 analyzers.

  • Work in collaboration with Product Management to develop training materials, including manuals, for new products.

  • Manage and maintain the customer training laboratories in South San Francisco.

  • Identify specific training material gaps and tailor new materials as necessary.

  • Monitor and evaluate customer training program effectiveness. (Collaborate with tech support ..)

  • Document and communicate with relevant departments customer issues.

  • Provide internal personnel with training on new products prior to launch.

  • Complete Pre-Installation forms for the AIA-900 and AIA-2000 analyzers.

  • Accompany customers to Tosoh sponsored entertainment events (dinner).

  • Manage customer travel itineraries and training class logistics.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

None.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Proven work experience as a trainer in the field of Clinical Laboratory Diagnostics.

  • Proven work experience designing and implementing successful training materials and programs.

  • Familiarity with traditional and modern training methods, tools and techniques.

  • Clinical laboratory experience, preferably with immunoassay.

  • BS in Medical Technology or related field.

  • Certification in Training by a nationally recognized training program
