As a Clinical Laboratory Technologist II or III - Pharma Molecular you will work under general supervision. You will be responsible for performing highly complex laboratory testing procedures in support of Pharma Services projects including feasibility studies, assay development, analytical validation studies and clinical testing.
The ideal candidate will have experience in both a clinical diagnostic as well as a research laboratory setting with the ability to quickly and effectively adjust priorities. Direct experience with assay development, analytical validation experiments and validation documentation preferred. This position will be focused on molecular assays (NGS, qPCR and Sanger) but experience with other technologies is a plus.
This position will work work Monday
Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology from an accredited college or university preferred OR Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in one of the chemical, physical, or biological sciences with the addition of at least one year of laboratory required.
Level II: 4+ years of equivalent experience (high complexity testing) preferred
Level III: 6+ years of equivalent experience (high complexity testing) preferred
Ability to Current state license to perform laboratory testing
Experience in a clinical diagnostic and research lab setting
Clear understanding of assay development and validation concepts
Knowledge of clinical laboratory techniques and procedures
Possesses appropriate computer skills to accomplish tasks
Ability to communicate effectively cross functionally
Good social skills and attention to detail
Motivated to work independently and within a team environment
Willing to work in a biohazard environment and follow safety policies and standards outlined in the Safety Manual
Good visual acuity including color perception required for certain departments
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
