Full time Clinical Laboratory Scientist needed in the beautiful Sonoma County of California!

Join one of the nation's largest drug and alcohol testing laboratories. This position is in the Quality Control Department. M-F 8am-5pm shift.

The Quality Analyst will perform hands-on laboratory work for preparing chemical standards and reagents used in analytical testing methods for drugs/steroids in biological matrices. The analyst will be responsible for preparing all calibration solutions, control solutions and other buffers and reagents used in the analytical process.

Additionally, the analyst will be responsible for maintaining the inventory of all standards, controls and reagents, ordering new standards when necessary, and establishing control ranges to ensure a smooth operation of the production laboratory. The candidate must be detail oriented and able to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision. The candidate will also perform and assist with additional duties as may be directed by the Quality Control Manager and/or the Director of Laboratory Operations & Technology.

Candidate will be required to hold a valid State of California Clinical Laboratory Scientist License with a minimum of one year lab experience is required. Experience with GC/MS and LC/MS/MS is desirable.

The candidate must be able to work safely with chemicals, instrumentation and equipment. Effective oral and written communication skills are required. Attention to detail, teamwork, strong interpersonal skills and ability to work independently are preferred.
