Job Description

Seeking a flexible and dynamic Clinical Laboratory Scientist for a growing biotech startup. This role requires a professional ready to undertake various responsibilities from assay development benchwork to diagnostic testing. The position involves reviewing SOPs, pipetting, laboratory skills, accessioning, and taking inventory. The candidate will handle a protein aggregation assay, perform equipment maintenance, and set up assays. The role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to process improvement projects alongside the quality manager and work on investigator and pharmaceutical projects.

Hard Skills

• Licensed CLS generalist

• ASCP certification

• Proficient pipetting experience

Job Type

This is a contract to hire position with a duration of 12 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in San Diego, California.

Work Environment

Work hours are Monday-Friday 8:30-5, with flexibility for a Tuesday-Saturday schedule or weekend work. The team consists of 2 other CLSs and a lab support staff member who also handles customer service. The dress code requires long pants, closed-toe shoes, and secured hair.
